The OEM fan in our 2006 PT Cruiser wasn't working at idle. If you turned the ac on at idle, the car would shutter and the ac wouldn't blow cold air. I read on line that it's the radiator fan assembly. It came yesterday and I put it in today. From the best I can tell, it fixed the problem and the fan is turning on like it's supposed to.It's a 3 hour job and I'm a pretty good mechanic. I don't have air tools but the bolts are so small you really don't need an air tool. There's lots of videos on line on how to do it. What they don't tell you is that there's almost zero room to get the side bolts out. It tool a long time to get the side bolts in. My advice is to hand tighten the top and bottom bolts which are easy an still let the new fan move around. Then put in the side bolts. All I can say is it's a great product, fit perfect, the electrical connector had tabs to mount it to the fan assembly to keep the wire set in place. If you're having shuttering problems with your PT Cruiser at idle with the ac on, I highly recommend this fan assembly. It sounds like it blows harder than the OEM fan and the car is running cooler.
