I wish I'd paid better attention to the fact that this one doesn't have a remote. Also, the blades look pretty cheap.HOWEVER, it is almost silent. Compared to the much more expensive (and expensive-looking) fan it replaced, it's perfect. I'm no longer bothered by that obnoxious, rhythmic hum.It's quiet. Gloriously quiet.
