Bought this and The Vortex Powerfans VTX1200 Vortex 1140 CFM Powerfan, 12".There is no comparison. This one outputs 2-3 times the air volume. Is much better built, has a much better motor assemble, much more advanced design as it has inline fins that help creat the sir dynamicas and is at least twice the fan. Returning the Vortex because there is no way its outputting 1140 CFM. Either that or this one outputs 3500CFM. Either way this is the fan to get of the two to move air. For those who complain on sound well...seriously lmao if you want to move lots of air its gonna make noise. This is not overly loud by any stretch. We are using to exhaust a server room and its a little louder than a few servers running. Nothing ridiculous but it does make noise so if you want peace and quite turn it off or put it inline. Great fan for the money glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews!
