Great addition to our RV. The original Fan-Tastic Create a Breeze fan was a little to high to easily open and close. This upgrade allows us to open and close manually, as well as giving us more control over fan speed (the old unit only had three speeds. This is not a complete replacement of the manual fan - it is an upgrade which adds remote control open and close, speed adjustment, and rain sensor. The upgrade was easily done with an assist from a friend on a couple of steps where an extra hand was needed. Nice features include the ability to override the rain sensor and manually adjust the amount the cover opens if you need some ventilation on a rainy day without letting the rain come in.Instructions need to be updated. The manual cover adjustment has changed from the instructions - you don't pull down on the knob to manually adjust, just turn it. There is some slight resistance, but it is easy to do. Also, depending on whether your unit has a pancake or can type motor housing, you may or may not need a jumper on the circuit board. The folks at Fan-Tastic fan were very helpful in resolving this issue (mine needed to have the jumper removed to have full functionality). Overall, a great upgrade!
