I already own 6 Hunter fans. My first one, 35 years service so far, is still quietly doing it's job, as are all the rest. Hunters are really quiet; no motor noise, only some blade swish at higher speeds. This new one has a remote control, which is a nice feature. By the way, if the fan is also on a will switch, the fan remembers the previous settings if you turn it off with the wall switch.
