To ensure durability, each cooling fan design are run through tests like : corrosion resistance, endurance, moisture, torsion and, vibration. Each unit goes through a quick power-on test before leaving the factory to ensure functionality.

Bought to replace Volvo XC60 fans that BOTH burnt out. This product upon inspection looks identical (picture), feels lighter, but structurally stronger (less flexible) than OEM. The main difference is that the control module is black plastic versus the aluminum (pictured comparison and close-up). We'll see if it makes any difference, although I think the design is better as more of the plastic module (side facing the radiator) is exposed to assist in cooling IMO. We don't get a lot of extreme weather so I'm not too worried.Installation was just as difficult as I imagined, took off the air intake, upper radiator hose, pulled back the AC lines, and still had to cut off the bottom support bracket to fit it in. I assumed that I'd have to cut off the bracket by watching some Youtube videos, so I made preparations ahead of time to reattach a bracket. Wouldn't suggest cutting the bracket for all as it damages the product incase you were going to return. I was able to test the fans so I knew that they worked prior to install.If I need to do this again, I would plan to do a radiator flush and take off all the hoses as they are the primary obstacles to removal and installation IMO. Others have been able to install this without cutting the bracket so I assume that's what they did. Hope this helps as I was skeptical when I purchased this product and there weren't any useful reviews.
