Perma-Cool 19126 16" Standard Electric Cooling Fan - High Performance for Cars, Trucks & RVs - Perfect for Engine Cooling & Overheating Prevention

Okay first off great shipping 2 day from amazon prime. Product was as described. However...This is my second Perma Cool fan. the first was 10 years old. Contacted perma cool for assistance and described my issues with old fan... never heard back. But needed a fan for my hotrod, so I figured I would order the exact same one. That way it will mount the same ...easy fix ...right. Wrong, Well same product number. The new upgraded model doesn't have the same fan shroud and the fan motor is about 1/2 bigger on the back side. Which caused some delays...no worries. So lets start it up and see what we got. Well it popped a 30 amp fuse. Seems it draws about 30-32 amps at start up. Not sure if its the fan hanging up but it sounded like that. Then for it to run ...advertised its 11-12 amp. well it draws 16-18. So had to go another route instead of 30 amp fuze and went with a 30 amp circuit breaker. That fixed the popping fuzes every other start up. I will say when you fire this thing up, your car will now sound like it is supercharged. Holy crap is it loud. Not impressed, it does the job and I'm sure it gives me the flow I need but I am not happy. I will be looking into a different option down the road.
