So glad I stumbled upon this model. I wanted something less aesthetically hideous than the typical ceiling fan, but didn't want to hemorrhage my remodel budget. True to the description it is a low-mount fan, and looks just fine in my 8-ft ceiling kitchen. Wall switch settings range from 1 to 4, with 1 simulating a tornado (albeit a quiet tornado). Initially didn't care for the lightweight, cheap-feeling paddles, but talked myself into not caring since they aren't really meant to be handled.
