Installed in a 92’ Jeep YJ 2.5. Perfect size for the OEM style radiator. Not all the mounting holes lined up, but if you are converting from mechanical to electric, you’ll be able to quickly figure it out.I wired mine to a On-off-On rocker switch, attached to two relays. One for high speed and the other for low. In the upper “on”, I ran the relay ground through an inline 210dg (turns off again 195) 1/8 NPT temp switch. When the rocker switch is in the “upper on” position, the fan runs only on low speed and automatically turns off/on based on the coolant temp. The middle off position kills all power to the fan, while the “lower on” position runs the fan constantly on high-speed.On low-speed the fan draws about 9-10 Amps. On high-speed the fan draws about 30-31 Amps. Not sure what the initial surge is but it hasn’t blown a 40amp fuse. Wire accordingly.I have been driving the Jeep around for about 2 weeks now, and we have had multiple +100 degree days. The low-speed is all I have needed. This includes stop and go traffic and some steep (1st and 2nd gear) hills. Haven’t had it on the trail yet.I have the top and doors off and have to listen carefully in order to hear it turn on. It’s not loud at all and overall the Jeep is much less noisy than when it had a mechanical fan. When I switch it to high speed, you can definitely hear it and it moves a ton of air. But as stated, the high-speed setting of the fan seems to be a bit of overkill for the Jeep 2.5L (no AC either) and I haven’t needed it…yet I still like the peace of mind knowing that high speed is an option and if the temp switch fails, I can still run the fan manually on high.If I have any problems with long-term durability of the fan, I will update this review.
