I used it to replace old fan motor on an exterior TRANE air conditioning unit.It came with 4 wires (rather than 3 which my old one had) so I just capped off the brown and white wire as several online instructions suggested and it worked.The center pole is long but I see that as a plus, as it leaves plenty of room for adjustment if you want.Seems to be working fine. Glad that I found it here on Amazon.
