I have been in the HVAC service field since 1990 and this is the worst failure rate I've ever seen on a condenser fan motor. I installed this on my parents home unit to replace a GE fan motor that was an OEM part that had performed well for over 15 years. The first U.S. Motors 1875 didn't make it out of warranty and I replaced it after only running for 10 months. And yes, I installed it with a brand new MARS run capacitor and a new contractor. Parts house replaced it under warranty and I install another U.S. Motors 1875 and like clockwork, a year later its dead in the water - 3 weeks out of warranty. Well played U.S. Motors... Maybe some service techs like junk like this because it generates return business, but I prefer to keep my reputation in tact and don't want my customers associating me with crap products. And I certainly don't want my 80 year old parents sweltering in their home in the heat of the summer again. So I'm not ever buying anything from U.S. Motors again. I should have taken a hint from the motor labeling; "U.S. Motors - Made in Mexico"... Kinda tells you everything you need to know doesn't it?
