OEM Fan & Coolant Pump Pulley with Bearing for 2006-2010 Chevy Silverado & GMC Sierra 6.6L Duramax Diesel - Replacement Part for Engine Cooling System

This is the pulley located behind the fan. My old one started to shriek and I knew the bearing was done. This fit perfectly into my 2007 GMC 2500 HD LBZ Duramax engine. This part is not the easiest to get out. First you will need a 1-7/8" wrench to go onto the nut, a strap wrench to hold the pulley and then a lot of hard wrenching action. I had to remove the fan and the fan shroud to get the fan removed. The fan shroud is not an easy thing to remove or to replace. The fan pulley I purchased was the exact part (OEM) from GM. The fit was perfect. You may need external Torx sockets to remove and or replace the studs this pulley fits onto. I ended up removing and replacing these studs. New studs come with the pulley. Be sure to put Loctite Blue 242 on the threads. The part was exactly what I needed and solved the squealing/shrieking bearing.
