All motors within PV fans are speed controllable using voltage or frequency control regulators. These duct exhaust or supply fans have been specifically designed for simple installation and many years of maintenance-free operation. I have this in an attic duct as a booster for my stove vent. I added it since the stove vent ducting required too many turns and too long a distance for the primary stove vent fan to really work properly. It works! It's relatively quiet (other than the air rushing noise, which is to be expected). It's solidly built, and comes with decent instructions. If you call the company, they can give you links to PDFs with plenty of size etc specs. This fan is highly recommended (so far - it's only been in use a short time. If I encounter any problems, I will follow up). Please note: most companies I called did not recommend their fan for stove vent boosters; Soler & Palau specifically told me this fan is designed for this. They recommend I clean the fan blades annually (which will be a pain, since I will have to disassemble the ducts).I have this set up on a hardwired switch; I assume there are options for auto on/off, but I didn't research them.
