Each unit is an assembly with motor, fan, and shroud to simplify replacement compared to working on individual components. To ensure durability, each cooling fan design are run through tests like : corrosion resistance, endurance, moisture, torsion and, vibration. Each unit goes through a quick power-on test before leaving the factory to ensure functionality.

The unit is built well. Very durable, high quality. My only complaint is that the fans are not as low profile as I would like. There is very little clearance between the small fan and the A/C compressor (Less than 1/4 inch) on my 2006 TDI Jetta. I had to come up with a way to hold the radiator forward and away from the engine to achieve this clearance, otherwise these fans would not have worked. Another option would be to dremel out some material on the small fan. Overall I can’t complain much because they work, they’re built well, and they were much cheaper than OEM.
