I waited a few days before posting. We spent months trying to find the perfect fan for our back porch. This one fit the bill. The fan blades are reversible, we chose the lighter side. The blades are very sturdy. The glass does have little bubbles in it but we liked it as it adds to the over all appearance. The metal parts look rustic and not cheap at all. The light is not too bright and the bulbs are not a normal size. However, we ordered three fans and we feel the light works. The downrod is very short, 6-inches. We ordered 12-inch rods but still seem a little short. We are going to eventually change them out to 18-inch downrod. You will need two people to help put fan up due to the fragile parts, but other than that fan was easy to assemble and put up. The color was a very nice contrast to our lighter wood colored shiplap that we have on the ceiling. The fan is capable of different speeds and the lights can also be adjusted. I would recommend this fan to anyone.
