After installing the fan we noticed that the net like guard that is covering the upper half of the fan blade that sits exactly behind the kidney grill is too close to the fan vs the genuine that came on the E38. The reason for it is that the fan itself is not flush with the body of the auxiliary fan unit therefore when you mount the plastic cover that goes right on it (with the kidney grill cutouts) the two plastic vertical support stands that are part of that cover are touching the fan. Therefore, it makes a loud noise when it’s running and to fix that issue you need to alter the position of those two vertical plastic supports.
