Purchased this to replace a squeaky/grindy fan on a Flex-a-lite 678 kit that I installed on my truck ~6 years ago. The install was pretty quick and painless. I guess the old fan had been gradually increasing in volume over time, because I couldn't get over how -quiet- this thing sounded (at least, compared with the old fan) when I finally started the truck back up and turned on the AC. Six years, from an electric motor that lives in a vehicle that spends a lot of time sitting (as this tends to allow accumulation of corrosion on bearing surfaces) in an area known for regular fog (also not very friendly to the bearings)? No complaints, here, certainly
