Our Bryant condenser fan was old and quite worn out, and finally got to where it would not start when called upon, and would eventually cause the breaker to trip, shutting the condenser off entirely. Managed to get the old model number (GE motor - HC37Ge210A) off the barely legible label, and found this unit to be pretty comparable, the technical stats are an exact match. The price is right, so I took a chance and ordered this motor. The installation is pretty simple really, the toughest part was removing the old fan blade, though a few drops of WD-40 and a fan puller made short work of that. The new motor shaft is about 1/2" shorter than the original motor's shaft, but I was able to just get the fan blade mounted and tightened to where it won't scrape the motor housing. The wires are also visibly smaller gauge than the original, and two of the wires are about 10" shorter as well. The black wire was exactly the same length, the red and yellow wires were shorter, but JUST long enough to route properly and connect up. Instead of having a bit of extra length, this fit JUST right, any shorter and I would have had to extend them. However, once it was all put back together, the motor is working brilliantly, and has been working for two weeks now, keeping my house cool through this heat wave we are having. My biggest complaint is that the old motor mounts screws broke off in the nuts as I tried to remove the grill from the back of the old motor, and finding replacement nuts to secure the new fan to the condenser grill has been a challenge, not easy to find at the local big box store.
