We installed two of these for our front porch. The porch is covered, which meets the "damp" rating requirements for this fan. They each came with a 3-speed dial switch for the wall, but we were able to wire the fans from a single switch without any issues. The fans look great and move a lot of air. Our ceiling height is about 12' and we purchased separate 18" extension rods to get them a little closer to the sitting area. These fans are super quiet even at blitz speed on the high setting. We usually run them on #2.My only complaint is that the fan switch does not come with a cover plate.
