I have a 1996 Explorer XLT 4.0 OHV 4 door US made. All that data matters if you have a 96 or earlier because Ford, in its infinite wisdom, decided to use different fuel pumps with different Explorer variants. The Delphi FG0229 is listed as compatible with my variant, but it ended up being slightly different. In my variant, the pump motor attaches to the pump frame with three screws. Two screws smack in the middle of the pump, and one screw into a post at the top of the pump, near where the pump interfaces with the metal fuel lines.The pump I received has the mounting points for the two screws, but no post for the top screw. Maybe Delphi redesigned it so that you can discard the 3rd screw, but I wasn't going to chance it.Long story short--be very careful. You may need to order multiple pumps and hope that one is the right one. I ended up going with a Spectra pump in spite of my misgivings about using Chinese pumps, but to their credit: their website is stellar and it's a carbon copy of my old pump.
