Didn't realize how much the factory clutch fan wasn't working. I've known about the pending code for 10 years but never been an issue. Found out that the clutch fan not working properly is why the A/C compressors go out and lack of blowing cold on the passenger side. It also makes a massive difference on the engine temp when towing, and the EGT's. I waited on doing this review till I got some towing done to see what the differences are. Its definatly louder than factory. You can actually hear it working all the time. My engine temp is 15-20 cooler when towing up hill and hot out side. My EGT's don't get as high under load and they drop faster at idle. Again, its louder than factory, but the bennefits out weight the sound. I recomend this item to other cummins owners all the time. My install was on an 03 Ram 2500 Cummins. Not a difficult install with the right tools and a spare set of hands. As a professional ASE certified mechanic and doing this alone, it wasn't easy, but worth it.
