Halfway through summer 2023 my central AC unit stopped producing cool air. I went outside and observed the fan wasn't spinning and I could hear a slight humming sound. I quickly shut off the unit then I called a local HVAC company to diagnose the issue. I was informed my condenser fan motor was the problem but my AC unit is old and it would not be worth fixing. Rather than investing potentially $10,000+ for a new unit I decided to take my chances on purchasing a replacement fan motor even if it meant I could only get one more summer out of it. I pulled the cover off, located the part number and searched Amazon for a replacement. I removed the old fan motor, installed the new one, and in minutes I was able to successfully resurrect my AC. I am so glad I decided to fix this myself rather than investing in a new unit. I can't even buy a window AC unit for a small bedroom for the price of this fan motor.
