Aesthetically, I really love this fan. The wood on the blades is beautiful (we opted for the darker wood), and it's just an all around clean, classic fan.HOWEVER, we broke on of our glass shades. Not the manufacturer's fault, sure - but going online I can not find any replacement for it. I'm not even just talking about this exact one - I'm talking about one that fits the fitter and still looks nice. This shade is a 3 1/4" fitter - and that is the size of most shades made for MUCH SMALLER light fixtures (think pendant lights). All the replacement shades I'm finding are wayyy too small to look nice on a ceiling fan. So - beware. It's a great fan, but do not break your shade!
