The Back Plane can be operated with both SATA and SAS hard drives. It works extremely stable even at very high data throughput. The temperature control is correspondingly complex. The aluminium parts dissipate heat supportively and the 80 mm fan works reliably and quietly. If it gets too hot in the housing, acoustic and optical signals warn. All mechanical parts are designed for the highest loads. The best materials are used in the enclosure and make this 3.5" hard drive solution the ideal partner for extreme loads. The back tarpaulin with its lockable slots is also well equipped for safety requirements. The active 80x80 mm fan works efficiently and adapts to the temperatures as needed, keeping the case quite quiet. The processed aluminium also contributes to passive convection to the environment. Optical and acoustic signals report the current state of the hard drives and the fan at any time. The room temperature for the signal can be adjusted to three levels (55°C, 60°C, 65°C).
