This is one of those closed-ecosystem things that us seasoned home-automators hate to deal with. Bought it to integrate a Fanimation DC fan with HomeAssistant. Sure it integrates with IFFTT which now is a paid service and Google Home (don't even get me started). Problem is that the developers decided to make this thing 100% cloud dependent. The fan controller is hardwired to call home over the internet to some cloud where you have to attach a phone app, i.e. no local control. Add to that that the applicaiton is an unstable piece of junk.Planning to lobotomize this stupid controller either finding a way to reflash it like somebody did with the old Sonoff switches before the vendor got a clue and opened up their API. Either that or perhaps it's easier to rip out the controller and replace it with an ESP module.
