The studs are extended for most mounting applications along with an extra long shaft, but just be prepared to trim them for your application. I needed to cut them off completely on the shaft end for my application along with a few inches off the shaft to clear the top of the compressor.The most appreciated feature are the extra long leads which includes the reversing leads that are actually long enough to be pulled into the wiring compartment of my condensing unit. Most other motors I've seen like this the reversing leads are just a few inches long leaving them dangerously close to the condenser fan blade and unprotected out in the elements.Very happy with the results. If you buy one of these for yourself don't forget to also buy a 5mfd capacitor that is not included.
