Westinghouse Lighting 78321 Portland 35-Inch Chrome Ceiling Fan with Light Kit and Mushroom Glass Shade - Modern Indoor Cooling for Living Room, Bedroom & Office

I bought this in 2016 & it looks exactly like it did when purchased, except for the white blade side. The painted blades are easy to clean & no paint has chipped. I have the black side showing however as the white side has discoloured. The chrome finish hasn't tarnished & polishes up lovely. Once the light is fitted, it's really tricky to attach the blades if doing by yourself due to fixings (washers, screws, bolts etc) & the rotor bit spinning. So easier as a 2 person job. This was a replacement to another ceiling fan light that I'd bought many years before this one, which I broke trying to tighten up a screw after I removed the porcelain light shade, so I can't comment about how easy it is to remove & put back after washing as been too nervous to remove this 1. That said it's been fitted since 2016 & there's never been any dust or dirt collected inside of the porcelain shade, so realistically speaking I've never needed to remove. I do recall the light being so very heavy & was not only tiring but hard work to hold the light whilst the electrician connected the electrics. I'm now disabled & as the light is directly above my bed, I cannot reach up to pull the on & off switches, so my hubby bought me a remote control to turn on either the light or fan using any speed type, or both fan & light together. I've included photos of my remote control but that did not come with the ceiling light fan, so if you wanted, you'd have to purchase separately. Also I clean the entire light, blades & porcelain shade with an extendable handle flexible duster. So it's easy to maintain. The light is not dimmable & has only 1 brightness. But there are 3 fan speeds on this 1. But as said i bought in 2016, so I guess there maybe be some differences from my old version.
