No, this fan light can only be controlled using the remote control (it can be connected to an ordinary wall switch, but it is not recommended)

Typically, I don’t review many things I buy from Amazon. However, after reading reviews for this fan, I feel I should challenge some of the negative reviews because I almost did not buy the fan based on them. It just looked perfect for my home office I was remodeling so I went for it.It was packaged well, and very simple to install. I’m not electrician, but consider myself a handy man. Simply connecting the line, neutral, and ground wire was all the wiring necessary. The rest were three quick connects. The only screws required were two screws for each blade. Other connections were locking snaps. I feel the fan is well engineered, quiet, looks great, and offers a lot of flexibility with the light as you can choose different wavelengths/colors and dim.My only complaint/constructive criticism is it does not allow for you to hardwire the fan and have the light on a switch. Everything must be controlled by the remote. However, you can kill the whole power by turning off the switch. When you turn the switch back on, the light will turn back on, but the fan will not.Hope this helps any potential buyers. Overall, great value for the money.
