This thing requires assembly; all 20 light bars need to be fixed to the base then plugged into a circuit board. The mounting bracket doesn't utilize the ceiling electrical box at all- it's in the shape of an X about 10" square, you'll need wall anchors or a nearby stud. Once it's in it looks great- I was unable to pair it in BT to my phone (the app has every possible feature). With only the provided remote you can turn the light on and off, however there's no dimming control. Cycling the lamp on and off changes the color temperature to three possible settings. Still worth it to me.
