This replacement fan was a perfect fit for my wife's noisy HP 17-ca1005cy laptop. Once you get the laptop bottom removed, replacing the fan is as simple as removing 2 screws. Labeled as 1 and 2 in the image. Take care not to pull off the cable from the wireless module, labeled as 3 in the image. If you do, no worries, it presses back on to the connector. Just search YouTube, you'll probably need a magnifying glass to get a good look. Do take some time to clean any accumulated dust and debris from the laptop and heatsinks as long as you have it apart. After getting it all back together, the laptop is whisper quiet as it should be. Works great so far.
