This is an exact replacement cooling blade for the Bluffton motor used in pumps. Problem is it was a bad design in the original build and this replacement has the same problems. They are static balanced instead of dynamic balanced, meaning the blade is balanced as a whole but the hub is out of balance with the mounting screw on one side. The hub, in operation, is under an unbalanced stress from the steel screw and nut and will stretch and crack and if not replaced when it starts cracking will damage the motor shaft. I bought this as a spare but have actually set up an external electric fan to replace this blade because I have two pumps, both with bad shafts from these blades failing. We just bought a third pump and it too has the same cooling blade. The price they want for these blades is excessively expensive making the electric fan an even better option for us. However, most people will not be able to do the research and testing that we had to do to control motor temperature with an electric fan.
