I got this for our family room as there isn't a lot of circulation as it is cut off from the rest of the house with only two small windows in a fairly large room. The ceiling fan tries it's best, but the ac doesn't reach as well back here and on really hot evenings when the family piles in the room it can get really hot fast. I have a fan in the room that is similar and it does help a bit. So when I saw this swap cooler I knew we needed it. I haven't had the ability to test it out since the hotter months are still 3 months away, but I did crank up the heat to see how well it functions. It isn't as great as having ac, but it does a ton more than the fans alone. Totally worth it in my book.
