Replaced an aging Broan PM250 in need of a new motor with this hood 3 months ago. So far, it's been great at removing cooking odors from the house. The Broan was hard wired and this hood has a plug, so I installed an outlet for it. With a helping hand, I was able to line it up with the vent duct after removing the extension tube the Broan used. Noise-wise, the general consensus here is it's not quiet, but not annoyingly loud either. The removable baffle filter rattled when the fan was first turned on, but adding some weather stripping between it and the hood fixed that issue.
