This was a gift for my granddaughter. She is learning chess and sat right down with her Dad and played. By the end of two games, she knew the piece movements and thoroughly enjoyed the colorful personified pieces. I wish there was a better storage arrangement than loose pieces in the gameboard box, but the pieces are sturdy and seem to survive the loose arrangement.
