It came timely and well packaged. As usual, the directions leave much to be desired. I found a 6 inch flat head screw driver works best, the Phillips head began to slip on the first attempt. Be mindful of the rear blade guard handle position, to the screws that match up to be removed that were very tight and the blade goes on the flat spot on the shaft. The motor install is a bit foggy now but pay attention to what you're doing, as per the drawing. There is a set screw that's purpose seems to be to keep it from moving/tilting, I can't remember. And there's a tiny set & nut to hold the two blade guards together that I opted not to install, I suppose to discourage a child that loves to take things apart. It's heavy because of the weight you easily install at the base, it seems to move air very well, it's kind of quiet on low. But not my preferred hum for sleeping to as yet, that all cheap fans seem to have provided me. But this fan is as handsome as the photos show and as sturdy and well built as they claim.
