Even with new rad, heater core, water pump, re-sealed heater box, my 1995 YJ's heat has been terribly insufficient. The YJ has a 4 cylinder engine and the whole rig has 217,000 miles on it, large air gaps and missing weather stripping. I thought it unrelistic to expect any heater to improve the existing heating. I sold my house and, therefore, had some extra money to burn and decided to gamble by purchasing the 40,000 btu 300 cfm unit. I was convinced that it was just a gimmick but was willing to prove myself wrong. We've just had our first single digit temps here in Wisconsin this year. I slapped the heater under the dash with a temporary install to test it. I am effing amazed at this heater. It can quickly get too hot in the Jeep even cruising down the tollroad at 70 mph. I absolutely love it and assure it is worth the money. I used to dread plowing my long driveway, parking pad, and mailbox area. I am now looking forward to plowing this winter while toasty warm in my YJ. The heater allows me to spend as much time out there as I want, enjoying the YJ like a kid with a Tonka toy.
