I love the generous size and color! The stitching and scalloped edges suggest a higher quality quilt found in higher priced comforters. It is a heavier weight than most King sized quilts and is larger. You cannot tell from the photos, but the "right-side" of the quilt is a brushed cotton that feels like suede! PERFECT FOR COOLER SUMMER NIGHTS AND COLD WINTER CHILLS! The reverse is all cotton and the trapunto stitching creates a beautiful pattern. The stitched pattern is classic. The color is more of a very light yellow and in a bright room, the cast is more pale-yellow than beige. You can actually turn down the top, place your pillows and cover them like a bedspread would cover. The size is very generous. I washed in cold water and dried it without any color distortion or fading in my large capacity washer at home with no problem.
