This was purchased after our old hood vent motor threw a bearing and ate itself. Installation was incredibly easy. The included exhaust ducting was designed by a true genius. Each end of the very long exhaust duct that's included has a rigid collar built inside it that PERFECTLY fits a standard 6 inch exhaust duct vent. I've never installed flexible ducting without an hour of swearing and no less than 5 stitches before in my life. Installing the flex duct was a 2 minute job.The mounting bracket is also well designed. The teardrop mount holes make it easy to hang the fan by yourself if you don't have a helper. I had to trim one of the chimney cover pieces due to the nature of my installation, but the design of the nested chimney cover is brilliant.I've tested the air flow with the fan at max speed both with and without the grills installed and the max flow I've measured so far is just over 500 CFM. It's enough for our kitchen and a huge improvement over our previous exhaust fan, but I was a little disappointed to not get the 900 CFM advertised. I also don't like that it doesn't have a clock, but I knew that going in.Aesthetically, this thing is gorgeous. It matches our kitchen perfectly, I LOVE the lights being in the front and they are very very bright. Overall I'm quite pleased and I would buy Cavaliere again.
