This is a serious fan. Even though its only 14" it moves a serious amount of air (1720 CFM rated) while only drawing 1.6 amps, so its extremely efficient. I have tried many fans and most fall short of quality or ability to move air effectively and efficiently. This one however is well built, lightweight, versatile, moves an impressive amount of air and well I just like the look and feel of an industrial fan. I use it for circulating air through the house instead of running the ac all day. If you want a quality fan that is effective just spend a little extra, you will like it.
