I got this 6 months ago because my bedroom is too far away from the main air-conditioner and becomes an oven in the summer. Turns out it didn't just keep my room cool but worked better than our main air conditioner! Granted, the main one is an older 10,000 BTU window unit but it still definitely went above and beyond my expectations.More than that it was VERY easy to set up and use. Just let it sit for 24 hours before you plug it in and turn it on of course, and setting up the rest of the parts are pretty much common sense. The instructions are pretty straightforward too.Noise level has never been something that bothered me, so to be honest it's not something that I paid that much attention to. I wouldn't say it's quiet but I think it's pretty average noise for an air conditioner.My only complaint is that it let's it get pretty hot before it kicks back on. That being said, it probably means it uses less energy that way so I can't really count that as a bad thing. If changing when it starts back up is something you can change I'm not aware of it, but I think it would be nice!
