We have a 48” range that would normally require a fan with air replacement or be left with a chincy little fan and cover that cheapened the look of the range and kitchen as a whole. The larger hoods with air replacement can get costly and be noisy as well so we were looking for options. This motor goes in your attic so the noise isn’t right in the kitchen, it’s adjustable to different setting that can’t be changed with actually going into the attic so it passes inspection without air replacement, it pairs with 48” hood liners allowing the look we we’re going for and is easy to install. The noise isn’t quiet by any means but it’s a normal fan motor noise; You can talk over it but wouldn’t want to leave it on during a dinner party.** We paired this with the HL48 Stainless steel kitchen hood liner from supplyhouse.com
