Got the black/ mahogany- looks fantastic. Did not hardwire and it was really easy to install- just plugged into a power strip. The price point is and seems high but it is quality with clear blades and it is quiet on both high and low speeds. This is in a bedroom that already had a beautiful light fixture and I did not want to use a ceiling fan- so this is wall mounted (used stud finder for sure). It looks retro and modern, small footprint with quiet, effective power and comes with pull chain extender/ quality silver pull. The swing arm is purposely stiff so that it doesn’t flop around and stays directed where you want it. The fan “clicks” securely into several adjusted up or down positions as desired. It does not rattle or feel like it is going to vibrate apart. This happens to be mounted next to a video gaming area in a large bedroom (teen) and it is great addition to a cohesive upscale look. He can aim the air over himself and then back up at night for cool sleep with gentle white noise. I can see where this would be great in a home gym or yoga room. Nice look and functionality without looking cheesy or clunky. Lastly, it had clear (and longer than installation) instructions on how to clean it thoroughly- which is very important to me! Those clear blades just elevate the whole design...I could not be happier with this purchase.
