Easily the best fan i ever purchased. My hydro box is 36cft, but the shed its housed in is 1440cft. With only a 10"x 7" intake hole in my box, this fan creates very noticeable air current in the shed and moves hot air out with ease. Even at 60% speed this fan get the job done. I don't even need an internal fan for my plants because this fan creates such a strong air current anything else will be overkill. I've read some complaints about noise with this fan, but i couldn't expect this fan to perform at this rate without some level of noise. Especially not at this bargain price!! Now its time for the durability test. I will be purchasing this fan again in the near future and will definitely recommend this fan to anyone.I bought this for use with a vent hood in my basement that is used for home-brew. So far it has worked perfectly to remove the steam from my house.Installation could not be simpler; you attach the mounting brackets, attach your duct work and plug in the fan. In my case there were a few extra steps, I installed a new outlet for the fan which is controlled by a fan controller to vary the speed of the fan. If I have one complaint it is that I wish the cord was a little longer, but that is an application specific bother.Needed a in-line blower for crawlspace installation to vent a downdraft range hood using 6" metal duct pipe. Came across this fan and considering the low price I figured it would be poor quality, noisy & vibrate! Worst case I would just return it. Received the fan and was totally surprised, well made, very quiet and runs extremely smooth. Installed with clearance between std. 16" on center floor joist. Also works well with variable speed power supplied from the range hood itself!Received fan and installed it easily. Six inch ductwork is connected to 3 grow light hoods and fan, and the six inch Hurricane inline fan easily is cooling the bulbs in the light hoods. There is no vibration at all. The fan comes on with a timer coinciding with the lights turning on. It runs very smoothly and quietly. I'm glad I bought it!!!Does the job! I have an AC controller varying the frequency on this to vary the speed. Double ended bulbs have to run at 20degC or close to it for optimum brightness so I have some sensors measuring the incoming air and then adjusting the fan speed to get to the level of cooling needed while not going too far. The fan is noisy when at 100% but that is just the way it is. A lower rpms, the fan is nearly silent.The fan came with the two side-brackets, but not with the third bracket which connects them (seen in product pictures).The fan is loud - and the Apollo speed controller I got to dial it back doesn't reduce noise too much.But it is powerful, and without going into the next price bracket, this might be as good as it gets.I installed this in our basement to use as a vent fan for the bathroom.This fan is great! Run a hot shower, you will have no steam on the mirror.The fan is loud, and can be heard upstairs, however the pros outweigh the cons.Very pleased with the timely matter in which I received the fan. Bought on the 29th of Dec and had it by the 31st regular post. Replace meant for a Hurricane that I had gotten from my Nephew who had it for around 5 years. I figured he had done his homework so I went with the same model. Quiet and does the job I need it to...i have been using this fan for over a year now zero issues i use it 18 hrs everyday it can be a little loud but its a heavy duty fan so i would say its quite for what it is over all great product wold buy again for another setup!!Pulls a lot of air overkill for my 4x4 tent seems to be very good quality
