In a matter of seconds, this train set has become my son's favorite toy. That makes me a very happy dad.My (very young) son loves trains and cars so when my wife and I found this train set online, we knew it would be a wonderful birthday gift (and we were right). The moment he unwrapped it, he was clawing to open the box.First off, there are so many pieces. At first I didn't think there would be enough to make a nice track but I was completely wrong. In addition to the basic track pieces it also includes a rotating bridge and a covered track. But what I really like about this set is the quality. The wooden pieces are fairly thick and seem like they can take some abuse so unlike a plastic track, I can definitely see these pieces holding up to a little feet walking on them. The train pieces (of which there are three) are also very quality and as an added bonus, my son's Chuggington toys are completely compatible.There are no instructions to set up the track but this wasn't a problem for us (nor will it be) as we made our rail line as we saw fit. Great for a little one's imagination. It did come with a insert showing different variations you could create; the images are very detailed and some one should have no problem just matching the pieces.Bottom line, a great track for that young person in your life who loves trains.
