The top portion of the support tube has a collar at the base that does not easily fit into the lower portion of the tube. However with some muscle we got them to fit.Next, not until page 7 do you see the warning DO NOT USE OUTDOORS! Now look above at the name.Also, this thing is much louder than we hoped. Our intended use for the fan is on a deck under an awning.Grrrr. Fail.
