Anyone who loves discovering how mega-machines work will have lots of fun with this LEGO Technic 42108 Mobile Crane. There’s plenty to learn about engineering and movement with this cool building toy featuring 8-wheel steering, 4 individually controlled outriggers, 2 cabins and a super-high telescopic arm! With its classic black and yellow design, this model looks just like the real thing. And with a mighty range of realistic features, it operates just like a real crane too. First, steer and drive the vehicle to the right spot, then use the outriggers to secure the crane in place. From the crane cabin, raise the boom and extend the telescopic arm – see how high it reaches! Then use the hoist to carry the concrete pillar – great for role-play, or just for testing what this mega-crane can do. This is a challenging and advanced build from the LEGO Technic universe, bringing the world of engineering to life.
See how a real crane works with this action-packed LEGO Technic set for construction fans kids can steer the truck, put out the outriggers, raise the boom and hoist the concrete pillar!

With a 30” (78cm) crane arm, it's certainly tall and makes a super display model at 18” (48cm) long and 4” (11cm) wide
This is only my 2nd LEGO Technic set that I’ve ever built, the first one being the orange corvette. This set was fairly challenging to build, being new to the scene. It took me around 5 hours to build during 2 sessions. The crane seems to be very intricately designed and holds together quite well. I actually dropped it about 1 foot just a few minutes after completing it, and there was no damage at all. The crane functions well. It is capable of lifting at least 1 pound (2 iPhone 11 Pro Max’s) without very much bending. My only complaint is, the outriggers don’t add much side stability due to the fact that they don’t reach very far out. The controls are completely manual, which I would actually prefer for this particular set anyways. They are intuitive and labeled, as long as you sticker the correct pieces. The steering is controlled from the 2 orange lights on top of the crane, which is really nice. Over all, this was an absolute blast to build, and is very fun to play with. I feel like the price is more than fair for what you get. I can’t wait to build more Technic sets in the future.
