We have an Orca roto-molded cooler and, for keeping things cold, it's fantastic. It's also very heavy as all hard-sided coolers like those are. We were looking for a durable and capable cooler that kept things cold but that we could carry from our parking spot to the tailgate without breaking our backs.Orca, Yeti, Artic, etc. of course also make soft-sided coolers. However, we didn't want to spend Yeti money on a cooler like this. We also wanted one that was tall enough to accommodate a wine bottle or growler with room for ice, too. The Skog Å Kust ChillSåk Flip 24 ticked all of the boxes, at least on paper (screen).After using this cooler for an entire football season as well as for other outings, I can say without question that the ChillSåk was just what we were looking for. It's the perfect size for us and does an excellent job of keeping things cold. It's not a five day cooler or even a three day cooler, but that's just fine. From a durability standpoint, it seems to be very good. One football season is not enough to truly judge how tough it will be, but so far, it seems to be holding up great.A few (hopefully) helpful notes:1. Size. Getting accurate size info on coolers is harder than it should be. Some give you size in "cans" while others give you size in liters. Some give dimensions but fail to tell you whether those dimensions are interior or exterior. It doesn't help that you can't really visualize capacity well since the HxWxL proportions tend to be fairly consistent. Skog Å Kust gives external dimensions, which is only somewhat helpful. However they do give internal capacity in a way that is different than most. Instead of just giving just the "can" capacity, they give you can capacity + 10-15 pounds of ice. So, when you see 24 can capacity on this cooler, know that it actually holds a bit more than that. I do wish that Skog Å Kust and others would always give internal liter capacity and internal dimensions, though.2. Waterproof zippers. Yeti and Orca (and probably others) use heavy waterproof zippers. These are difficult to zip, but appear to be very durable. Skog Å Kust and many reasonably priced coolers either don't use waterproof zippers or use a smaller, lighter, seemingly less durable waterproof zipper. The Skog Å Kust zippers are the smaller waterproof kind. They are stiff, but actually zip and unzip slightly easier than the ones on our friend's Yeti. Skog Å Kust includes silicon lubricant and, if applied periodically, do make the zippers smoother. Only time will tell whether these zippers will hold up, but so far, we've seen no issues. The only other notable thing is that the zipper is a one way zipper. It would be easier if it was two-way.3. Materials. The entire cooler exterior (except the bottom) is TPU. More expensive brands use a form of cordura. The TPU has held up well so far, but I honestly wonder if it will be as durable as cordura. Only time will tell. The TPU is very easy to clean. The bottom is heavily reinforced and seems quite sturdy.The zipper and exterior material are places you can see why this Skog Å Kust ChillSåk 24 is less expensive than Orca and Yeti. However, the cooler is 100% waterproof and sweatproof.Other notes:--Bottle opener is handy.--Side handles are comfortable to use and, because they are mounted on side and not lid, should be better for the cooler's longevity.--Front pocket has been great for keeping phone or charging brick. The molle type loops are less useful for us so far. Would have rather had a net for slightly larger items instead.Will update this review as we use it more.
