Cool and Circulate Air at Work The Air King 9020 Industrial Grade Wall Fan is perfect to cool and circulate air in industrial or commercial settings including, loading docks, warehouses, churches and health clubs. This fan is mounted to a wall to save floor and table space. The 9020 keeps the power cord off the ground for high traffic areas. With a powerful motor and steel construction, this fan is the perfect solution for instant air circulation and cooling. Air King added a powder coated finish to the blade guard and mount for years of optimal performance. This unit is tested in accordance with AMCA standard 230.99, meets the made in America requirements of ARRA and is ETL and OSHA compliant. It comes with a 1-year limited warranty to protect against defects in materials and workmanship. Adjustable Settings with a Powerful Motor Air King equipped this model with a powerful 3-speed, 1-phase motor and a permanently lubricated permanent split capacitor. The motor is rated at 120-volts, 1/6-horsepower and has 3-speed settings for cubic feet per minute of 3670, 3330, 2940 on high, medium and low and rotations per minute of 1500, 1310, 1050 on high, medium and low. The motor is rated for 1.6, 1.3 and 1.1 amps and 184, 155 and 130 watts. The industrial grade fan motor means high velocity air circulation with little to no maintenance. This unit features a pivoting head to direct airflow and an easy mount for fast installation. Other features include a rear mounted pull cord and powder coated, steel blade guard. The blade guard, motor housing and mount are finished in black. This unit includes a 9-foot, 3-conductor SJT type power cord and measures 26.5-inches (L) by 16.5-inches (W) by 29.5-inches (H) with an 26-pound weight. This is a really nice fan. It moves a lot of air and looks good. But I really don’t know what they were thinking when they decided how the fan gets attached to the mounting bracket.The instructions tell you to attach the fan to the *underside* of the bracket. That’s dumb for 2 reasons:1. That essentially prevents the fan from being adjusted side to side at all. The fan frame hits the bracket. Very annoying.2. Physics! If you attach the fan per the instructions, the entire fan is hung from the bolt. This worsens the fan vibration and will fatigue the bolt over time. Probably not enough to cause a failure, but no one wants a wobbly fan that looks like it’ll fly off the wall at any minute - which is what I got when I installed it their way first.Instead, put the fan on top of the bracket (see my photos). The fan is then supported by a very robust bracket - in this configuration, the bolt only keeps the fan in place and doesn’t support the fan’s weight at all. This results in much less vibration during operation, and there’s also way more side-to-side adjustment possible. One caveat: the little handle on the fan will prevent it from being oriented totally perpendicular to the floor - that’s not an issue for me since I’ll never want the fan in that position anyway, but thought I should mention it at least.(Disclaimer: follow the instructions for the rest of the install - don’t get me in trouble, y’all. I attached the bracket to wood studs with the recommended lag screws and it’s solid as a rock.)So - in summary - this would have been a 3 star review if I’d have followed the instructions. But since I didn’t — I got myself a 5 star fan. Hope this helps!
