I knew "Legalize Tre Bags" was going to be killer, when I first laid eyes on the cover art "Braino" unleashed for this follow up to "In Drug City." As I held the vinyl (That's right vinyl!) copy in hand and studied it, I began to question my sobriety.......and I was sober. Track 1 "I Don't Wanna Listen To Yes," had me from the jump. I realized that I had been carrying around pent up feelings and aggression towards "Prog-Rockers" Yes for the past 25 plus years. If you've ever been at a party head banging to "Hell Bent For Leather" in a haze of smoke with a Bud can in hand, when all of a sudden some tie-dye wearing dude hits eject on the tape player and throws in "Relayer," you can relate. The album steamrolls through 11 cannabis inspired tracks with "Woody's" unique "talent" of being able to rhyme virtually every word with HIGH, while barking his Araya/Rollins inspired vocals. Musically, the band is on fire and tighter than ever with their Punk/Metal/Rock assault. They even threw in a "hit" of Southern Rock on this record....No, I'm not kidding, which makes the record like a true Bronx "Tre Bag," a little bit of everything inside. "The Ram" even flirts with the possibility of I dare say, single?! With probably the greatest play on words for a song title, "Chemical Warpigs," (if you don't know the reference, don't buy the record!) brings LTB to a HEAVY peak, while "High On The Cross," ends this gem on a furious note. The addition of Kevin Overdose on guitar and Labatts Santoro on Bass, and an overall better drum sound than "In Drug City," with Jesse D'Stills hitting the skins like a monster, has MIGHTY HIGH now firing on all cylinders and maintains their undisputed title of "Brooklyn's #1 Regressive Rock Act." Do your part for the environment & buy it on green (vinyl.)"Back off and leave me alone I got a fifth and a Leroy bone."
