We got this to build a small off-grid setup with batteries and this has been the perfect choice for the setup. The screen is clear and easy to read, and the instructions are straightforward to follow, including some of the operation procedures in the order to connect different pieces of the system. The build quality is excellent, however as a caveat we haven't opened the unit up to look inside, but based on the weight it feels like there is solid componentry throughout. After going through some basic configuration (the manual does a good job of explaining the configuration options) we had no problem charging up our small bank of LIFEpo4 batteries and haven't had any issues since. Overall a great option for a DIY setup.
